Homemade Chai Mix

Warm up this fall with a cup of chai tea made with my Homemade Chai Mix.

With no added sugar, my Homemade Chai Mix is the perfect way to kick start this fall season.

I don’t know about you, but as soon as the weather starts to cool down my mind automatically jumps to Christmas…nevermind Halloween and Thanksgiving. I get super excited about seeing Christmas lights, Santa at the mall and yes, chai tea lattes.  So you can be rest assured I am already getting my plans (and recipes) set for the holidays.

With no added sugar, my Homemade Chai Mix is the perfect way to kick start this fall season.

This year, instead of opting for the usual tea at your local coffee shop, try making your own mix.  This way you can make a warm, comforting cup of tea whenever you want and won’t have to change out of your pajamas.  I mean honestly, who wants to do that anyway?

Not only is it cheaper to make your own chai mix, but it is a great gift for the fellow chai tea lovers in your life.  Simply mix together the following ingredients and store in an airtight container.

  • 2 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1 Tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 tsp cloves
  • 1 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp cardamom
With no added sugar, my Homemade Chai Mix is the perfect way to kick start this fall season.

To Use: Add 1 Tbsp of mix to 1 cup of black tea.  Feel free to add any type of milk or creamer if you want to create a latte.
